A couple weeks ago I had a green anole... but I fed it to a longnose snake. Back in my younger days I had a green iguana but it's died since then. I've also had brown anoles and SE five-lined skinks. Right now I don't have any lizards because I'm busy enough with my snakes and don't want to worry about prepairing veggies or buying/breeding crickets.

I have had green anoles also, but those were all food for my King. Every summer we go to Texas ,so I catch a dozen or so green anoles for food for Ranger.

catching food is very dangerous, for the lizard when it's something that small, you see, your lizard could get parasites, or bacteria from the WC food source.

I've owned more than i can count, most i had to give away when i moved from MI to OR, but we got my "Favorties" (.... i can't belive i said that...i loved my nile monitor.....) to oregon

Oh, I didn't catch it. $11.99 at the local pet store, though was wild caught. Longnoses are lizard-eaters in the wild and I don't wave mine switched to mice yet.

I had two anoles once, long long ago. Where I grew up in Texas they were everywhere. I loved to watch them, especially when the males were sticking out their throat fans. One summer I caught two of them as food for a wc speckled king snake. He didn't eat them, and they mated, so I let them back loose. It was so funny. I walked into my bedroom where the snake cage was and caught the two lizards in the act. They just looked at me, and the expressions on their faces plainly said, "Excuse me! Could we have some PRIVACY please?" I didn't know anything about anoles at the time. I didn't even know the real name of the species. They were just lizards to us back then. I let them go so the female could lay her eggs the way that was best.

I grew up in Texas also and we used to call them "penny lizards" because they have a dewlap that is about the size of a penny. I feed them to my king every summer when we go down there. My king also eats grass snakes.
